I've always felt this way. But reading Big Box Swindle by Stacy Mitchell made me want to do something that week, however small. So I whipped up a quick "poster-card" to put up in my window and around town. (selfishly, I'd been looking for an excuse to dig through the drawers and drawers of mismatched hand-carved wood type at the SFCB).|
I have a stack of these left (including some blind-deboss without ink, for a less in-your-face statement of economic politics). I'm giving them away or may sell them for $1 at APE.
And seriously-- buying local really does matter. Where you spend your dollars day to day certainly makes more of a difference (especially a local-community difference) than voting...
